Full name: Hakeem-Osman Yussuf
Interviewer: So tell us a little bit about yourself…
H: Do you want my story or what you hear on the street?
Interviewer: Your story, Sir.
H: Well. It’s like this. I’m that guy you openly hate but secretly love. What can I say… I love life. Ok, put it this way. I don’t live thinking I have decades and decades to go – I’d rather live for today and know that if I get hit by a bus tomorrow, I could actually say that I had a decent life.
Interviewer: What do you do?
H: For now, I’m based in New York so I get my hands dirty with a lot of charity work, high-end event planning etc.
Interviewer: …And what do you attribute your comfortable lifestyle to?
H: 1 of 2 things. Either it’s because of what my ex termed the ‘only-child syndrome’ …or I’m just very lucky. My parents showered me with opportunities that they never had as kids or even as young adults. They spoiled me rotten but also ensured that I was sent to the best schools to be adequately disciplined. I’ve learned that hard work is important. I’ve paid my dues. Now I get to make and enjoy the money I make.
